GOVT URGED TO CONTAIN CHOLERA OUTBREAK

Economist Kelvin Chisanga has urged government to contain the spread of Cholera in Eastern Province.

His comments come in the wake of the continued spread of cholera in Chipata, Mambwe, Lundazi, Lumezi and Chipangali districts of the Eastern province.

Mr. Chisanga said that the outbreak will negatively affect the economy if spread to the rest of the country.

“Managing the outbreak is critical as it will enable the nation save resources meant for health disasters,” said Mr. Chisanga in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

He said that the county cannot afford to have another health calamity with the current economic challenges Zambians are facing.
