Minster of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Mulambo Haimbe, has refuted suggestions that most of the international trips undertaken by President Hakainde Hichilema, have not yielded positive results.
Mr. Haimbe says the president’s trip are undertaken with a keen interest to improve the livelihoods of Zambians.
Speaking when he delivered a Ministerial Statement in the National assembly today, on the Presidents official working visit to Japan from 3rd to 7th February, Mr. Haimbe highlighted the dewatering of shaft 28 in Luanshya district, as one of the milestones attained from the presidential trips.
“It is irresponsible for some individuals to think the presidents trips are not helping Zambians, when the mining sector has benefited from the trips,” said Mr. Haimbe.
And Mr. Haimbe has clarified that the presidential trips continue to be lean in a bid to preserve tax payers money.
