The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) Zambia.
The collaboration between the Ministry and CAMFED is aimed at strengthening empowerment of young people, particularly young women in rural communities through education, entrepreneurship and leadership development.
Speaking during the signing ceremony in Lusaka today, Ministry Permanent secretary for Youth and sports, Kangwa Chileshe emphasized that the MoU seeks to address economic challenges and improve access to skills training for young people in remote areas.
“This partnership will amplify CAMFED’s impact in improving the lives of young women in rural Zambia,” said Mr. Chileshe.
Speaking at the same event, CAMFED Zambia Vice Chairperson Doreen Mukanzo described the MoU as both a call to action and a promise to young women in rural areas that they are seen, valued, and supported.
