Minister of Labor and Social Security, Brenda Tambatamba, has reiterated government’s commitment to transformative pension reforms that would cater to the needs of every Zambian worker, both in the formal and informal sectors.
Ms. Tambatamba says government envisions to see an inclusive social security system to ensure every Zambian is catered for.
Speaking when she paid a courtesy call on Kitwe district commissioner, Lawrence Mwanza today, Ms. Tambatamba said that the upcoming reforms will address the critical gap in retirement planning, ensuring that workers across all sectors enjoy dignity and security in their twilight years.
“Zambia must build a framework that inspires confidence and encourages everyone to actively contribute towards their social security, regardless of their occupation or employment status.” Said Ms. Tambatamba.
