GOVT CALLS FOR MORE JOB SUMMITS

Minister of Labor and Social Security, Brenda Tambatamba, has called for more job summits in the country that connect job seekers to potential employers.

Ms. Tambatamba’s remarks come as the country gears up for the National Skills, Productivity, and Jobs Summit scheduled for December 3rd and 4th, 2024, in Lusaka.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka today, Ms. Tambatamba highlighted the summit’s role in addressing unemployment challenges by creating a platform for direct engagement between job seekers and hiring entities, including government agencies.

“The President will also be present for the job summit to appreciate the challenges job seekers are going through,” said Ms. Tambatamba.

Ms. Tambatamba urged job seekers across the country to attend the summit and take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their skills and network with employers from various sectors.
