GOVT ASSURES OF MORE LABOR OFFICES

Minister of Labor and Social Security, Brenda Tambatamba, has stressed the urgent need for the ministry to have Labor offices in all the 116 districts of the country.

Ms. Tambatamba says the ministry only has 54 Labor offices countrywide, a situation she said contributes to slow response on Labor matters.

Speaking when she officially handed over the Chipata Labor offices in Eastern Province today, Ms. Tambatamba expressed confidence that more offices will be construed in the remaining districts when resources allow.

“The ministry will also continue to support the growth of enterprises to ensure decent jobs,” said Ms. Tambatamba.
