GEI POWER URGES SUPPORT TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS

GEI Power Limited, a developer of sustainable green hydrogen energy, has called on government and other stakeholders to support local businesses contributing to the country’s environment sustainable development.

The company, which also manufactures and distributes methanol-fueled stoves, emphasizes the importance of collective action in fostering a sustainable environment.

In an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Company Investment Analyst Jonathan Mulenga explained that the methanol-fueled stoves, also known as “Mbaula Yamphamvu,” offer a direct alternative to charcoal use, helping to reduce deforestation, environmental degradation, and the impacts of climate change.

“There is a need to prioritize investments in businesses that not only address the effects of climate change but also create jobs and provide clean cooking solutions,” said Mr. Mulenga.

He also commended government’s support in facilitating necessary documentation and legal processes for local businesses including GEI Power Limited and called for further support to ensure that everyone can afford methanol-fueled stoves for cleaner cooking solutions.
