FRAZER MONDE EXPELLED FROM THE UPND

The United Party for National Development UPND has expelled its Deputy Chairperson for Rural Development Frazer Monde.

UPND Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says this is after the National Management Committee upheld a recommendation from the disciplinary committee, to have him expelled for gross misconduct.

Speaking during a press briefing  in Lusaka today, Mr. Mweetwa said that Mr. Monde on his Facebook page posted a matter where he is alleged to incite citizens to emulate the protest in Kenya.

“As a member of the highest governing body, Mr. Monde should have engaged the party in an amicable way as opposed to social media on delicate issues,” said Mr. Mweetwa.

He said that his actions were contrary to the disciplinary regulations of the party.

Mr. Mweetwa has also encouraged all members of the UPND to address their grievances   through established channels as opposed to the use of social media.
