FORMER FIRST LADY’S PROPERTY SEIZED BY DEC

The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has seized a property which houses 2 Double  Storey Flats in Lusaka’s  Ibex Hill area, belonging to former First Lady, Esther Lungu.

The seizure of the subject property is pursuant to Section 71 (1) of the Forfeiture of Proceeds of Crime Act No. 19 of 2010 of the laws of Zambia.

DEC Spokesperson, Allan Tamba, says this follows the continued investigation into the alleged illicit ownership of properties by the former First Lady.

Mr. Tamba said DEC is working to ensure investigations in the matter are professionally and judiciously concluded.
