First National Bank, FNB Chief Executive Officer, Kapumpe Chola, has refuted claims going round on various social media platforms alleging the Bank’s immediate closure due to the continuing negative economic climate in the country.
In a statement to RCV News today, Ms. Chola said the Bank remains operational and committed to safeguarding its customers’ investments and funds.
Ms. Chola has called on the public to regard the letter dated 16th May 2024 as fake.
She said the Bank has engaged the necessary officers to assist in investigating the source of the letter.
Meanwhile, Ms. Chola said Cairo Road and Makeni branches are undergoing scheduled platform and technology enhancement today 17th May 2024 and will reopen for business on Monday.
