FFTUZ AND TELEDOCTOR PARTNER TO BOOST WORKERS’ HEALTHCARE

Federation of Free Trade Union of Zambia (FFTUZ) has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Teledoctor Zambia to enhance healthcare accessibility and wellbeing for workers across the country.

The collaboration will commit to a future where Union members will have easier access to both general and specialized medical consultations directly from mobile devices and computers.

FFTUZ Secretary General, Nelson Mwale says the online system will make workers consult as they will have access to information.

And Teledoctor Chief Executive Officer, Wilbroad Mutale, said the goal is to break barriers that limit access to quality healthcare particularly to those in the workforce who are essential to the development of the country.

“Partnering within organization that is so deeply connected to the workforce strengthens Teledoctor’s ability to reach more Zambians with convenient, reliable and affordable health care services,” said Prof. Mutale.

Prof. Mutale further said the collaboration will help reduce the burden of healthcare related expenses on workers, allowing them to focus on their personal and professional responsibilities with the confidence that their health is priority.
