EIZ INTENSIFIES DISCIPLINARY ACTION

The Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) has intensified the disciplinary process against professional misconduct, to ensure the highest ethical standards within the engineering profession.

This is in line with the Disciplinary Committee, established under the EIZ Act No. 17 of 2010, being  Chaired by Mr. Musa Mwenye, SC.

EIZ Public Relations Manager, Ntalasha Mutale, says the Disciplinary Committee is instrumental in ensuring that ethical practices are adhered to, and any deviations are promptly addressed.

Ms. Mutale says Zambia now, more than ever, needs professionalism and great output of engineering works for economic recovery, due to rapid increase in infrastructure development in the country.

“The institution is therefore calling upon members of the public to report any acts of professional misconduct to the office of the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer,” said Ms. Mutale in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
