Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) Executive Director Andrew Mwenda has urged the Church to educate its members on good hygiene practices to help prevent cholera at both individual and community levels.
Bishop Mwenda says the church must not wait for the country to record cholera cases for it to be proactive.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Bishop said no body will come from outside to come and stop outbreaks such as cholera but will only take every Zambians to take responsibility.
“We do not need to continue dying of cholera, it is essential for every Zambian to take action,” said Bishop Mwenda.
Bishop Mwenda said there is need for mindset change in the fight against cholera and that the church among other stakeholders should always wait for the government for them to be proactive.
