President Hakainde Hichilema says education is the cornerstone of development.
President Hichilema was speaking in a speech read on his behalf by Minister of Education, Douglas Syakalima, during the official launch of the newly constructed Unicaf University in Lusaka today.
President Hichilema commended the University for constructing a campus with cutting edge technology.
“It is through education that communities are transformed,” said Mr. Hichilema.
Speaking at the same event, Unicaf University Chief Executive officer, Nichols Nikolau, said his desire is to see the facility grow as a global excellence in learning and teaching.
And speaking during the same event, Unicaf University Chancellor Mpazi Sinjela appealed to government to consider extending support to students enrolled in private learning facilities.
