The Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ, has encouraged political parties in Zambia to ensure all their members are registered as eligible voters.
ECZ Chairperson Mwangala Zaloumis said this in Kafue today, when she officiated at a stakeholders launch of the Continuous Voter Registration Exercise in Kafue district.
Mrs. Zaloumis said that political parties have a tendency of crying foul after receiving low votes during elections , urging them to advocate for their members to register as voters.
“Political parties should not only gather people in large crowds to campaign but also ensure their people are registered as voters” said Mrs. Zaloumis.
She has therefore urged all Zambians to take advantage of the continuous voter registration exercises and ensure they are eligible to cast their votes in the 2026 general elections.
