DIPLOMATS SHOULD WORK ON  STABILISING ECONOMIES – HH

President Hakainde Hichilema has called on High Commissioners and Ambassadors to Zambia to work together with government to stabilize both the countries and the economies.

Speaking during the Presidential Annual Greeting of the Diplomatic Corps for the year 2025, President  Hichilema has also call on African countries to engage in joint businesses so as to invest in Africa.

“No one had died of hunger because of the support from your countries,” said Mr. Hichilema.

And speaking the same event, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mulambo Haimbe said the annual gathering is an important occasion in the Diplomatic Calendar for Zambia, which affords the country  the opportunity to express its  gratitude to Ambassadors and High Commissioners for the support and cooperation.

Mr. Haimbe said the support and cooperation reflects the collaborative spirit that underlies diplomatic relations and highlights the mutual commitment to fostering positive and constructive partnerships.

He has since urged for renewed dedication to diplomacy, cooperation, and goodwill to continue to building bridges, strengthening ties, and creating  more interconnected and harmonious world for the benefit of the peoples and nations.
