Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary, Thabo Kawana, has encouraged organizations to embrace Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), saying it plays a crucial role in national development.
Mr. Kawana said this in Lusaka today when Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC) donated assorted items to aged people at Matero Aftercare Centre, as one of the activities lined up to commemorate world Public Relations (PR) day.
He said CSR initiatives bring communities together and highlight the compassionate side of organizations.
And Mr. Kawana praised ZIPRC for initiatives aimed at bettering the field of PR in Zambia.
He urged PR and Communication practitioners to comply with ZIPRC Act to uphold integrity and professionalism.
