The Commuter Rights Association of Zambia (CRAZ) has expressed concern with the continued flooding in bus stations.
CRAZ President, Aaron Kamuti, says it is unfortunate that bus stations are still grappling with flooding, despite the council publicly announcing the construction of drainages in public areas.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Mr. Kamuti urged the council to improve their management of revenue collected from bus stations and invest the said resources in drainage pathways to end flooding.
“Drivers have lamented over how they do not see any improvement in services such as sanitation during the rain season despite paying revenue to the council”, said Mr. Kamuti.
He has since called on the Ministry of local Government to ensure funds are available to address flooding in the bus stations.
