COMMUNITIES URGED TO EMBRACE FINANCIAL LITERACY

JSK Wealth Hub Communications and Media Manager , Moses Mpundu,  has called on communities to fully embrace financial literacy as a means to tackle the high cost of living, boost local businesses, and alleviate poverty.

He made this call in light of Financial Literacy Week,  under the theme “Think Before You Follow, Safeguard Your Money,” which highlights the importance of financial education in Zambia.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Mpundu stressed that stakeholder engagement and collaboration are essential in helping communities move beyond traditional and cultural saving practices to adopt more effective financial strategies.

“There is a need for communities to take a more active role in understanding financial literacy and shaping a sustainable economic future,” said Mr. Mpundu.

He also called on Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to establish inclusive platforms that promote strong institutions built on trust and accountability.
