CHILUBI MP CRITICIZES GOVT’S ANTI-CORRUPTION EFFORTS

Chilubi Member of Parliament, Mulenga Fube, has voiced his disappointment with government’s approach to tackling corruption, citing a lack of decisive action despite numerous scandals in various ministries.

Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Fube expressed concern that while corruption-related scandals continue to emerge across government institutions, very few arrests have been made.

He said this contradicts President, Hakainde Hichilema’s repeated commitments to fighting corruption.

“There is a need for the fight against corruption to be fair, and that means addressing present-day corruption, not just past cases,” said Mr. Fube.

He emphasized that for government’s anti-corruption stance to be credible, authorities must take swift and impartial action against all individuals implicated in corruption, regardless of their political affiliations.
