CHAMA SOUTH MP CALLS FOR PATRIOTISM ON CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

Chama South Member of Parliament, Davison Mung’andu, has urged Zambians to refrain from politicizing non-contentious clauses in the ongoing constitutional amendment process.

Mr. Mung’andu emphasized that citizens should make their submissions objectively, ensuring that their contributions benefit the country, rather than being driven by political interests.

Speaking in Lusaka today during his appearance on Radio Christian Voice’s Chatback program, where he discussed constitutional amendments, Mr. Mung’andu expressed concern over individuals making politically charged statements about the process.

“It is unfortunate that some individuals are making political statements about the amendment clauses, which is detrimental to democracy,” said Mr. Mung’andu.

He further called on Zambians to actively engage with the constitutional amendment roadmap, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the proposed clauses.
