The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) says it is not accepting loan applications for 2025 until further notice.
CEEC Public Relations Manager, Michelo Mukata, says the issuance of calls for new loan applications is dependent on the disbursement of funds from the Treasury.
“At present, the commission cannot specify exact dates for new application windows, but it remains committed to ensuring transparent and effective distribution of funds once available,” said Mr. Mukata in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
He highlighted that the Commission has been allocated K392 Million in the 2025 National Budget to support its economic empowerment initiatives.
Mr. Mukata also reaffirmed CEEC’s dedication to implementing empowerment programs under the Citizens Economic Empowerment Act Number 9 of 2006 and further assured the public that it will continue to provide timely updates as developments unfold.
He has since advised prospective applicants to regularly monitor CEEC’s official communication channels, including public announcements for new windows.
