Chienge Town Council Public Relations Officer, Wells Chifunda, says the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has significantly improved access to tertiary education in the district, enabling more than 1,500 boys and girls to pursue their academic and career aspirations.
In a statement to RCV News today, Mr. Chifunda revealed that community schools have been constructed using CDF community project allocations, featuring modern amenities such as flushable toilets and reliable water supply systems.
“The CDF education component has also supported students studying automotive mechanics at Lukashya Trades Training Institute,” said Mr. Chifunda.
He noted that many beneficiaries have expressed gratitude to President Hakainde Hichilema for breaking down barriers to education and promoting skills development in Chienge.
Mr. Chifunda added that, through the continued implementation of CDF initiatives, Chienge District is witnessing a brighter future, fuelled by an empowered youth ready to contribute meaningfully to local and national development.
