CDF SHOULD BE ALLOCATED ACCORDING TO NEEDS OF A CONSTITUENCY

The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) has urged government to consider realigning the Constituency Development Fund CDF allocations according the needs of various constituencies.

CSPR Social Security and Justice Program Coordinator, Jane Siwale, is also of the view that constituencies should receive different allocations depending on their size and number of wards.

Mrs. Siwale said that it is unfortunate that Lusaka will receive the same allocation as Mpika constituency that has more wards.

“This is one way government can expand development to the remote parts of the country.
