Health Expert, Teddy Mulenga has welcomed government’s decision to approve the use of cannabis oil for cancer treatment.
Dr. Mulenga says Cannabis oil is found to have natural anti-inflammatory properties making it beneficial for reducing pain and its potential health benefits extend beyond cancer treatment.
Speaking an interview with RCV News in Lusaka today, Dr. Mulenga said that many countries have already recognized the medical value of cannabis, saying that Zambia’s decision to join them is a positive step forward.
“By embracing cannabis-based treatments, Zambia can improve the lives of patients and families affected by various medical conditions,” said Dr. Mulenga.
He also added that as the country moves forward with the new development, it is essential to ensure that cannabis oil is used safely and effectively.
