BISHOP JOSHUA BANDA LAUNCHES COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION BOOK

Pentecostal Assemblies of Zambia Presiding Bishop, Joshua Banda has emphasized on the need to prepare the next generation through community transformation.

Speaking during the launch of a book titled “Community Transformation; Building Discipleship Foundations Now and for the Next Generations” in Lusaka today, Dr. Banda who is also Pentecostal Assemblies of God Zambia Presiding Bishop said the book has a holistic approach which is not just a noble goal but a divine mandate.

He said the book is not only encouraging critical thinking but also fosters dialogue as it is a catalyst for community change.

Dr. Banda said the book will not only inspire church leaders and scholars but also students with desire to transform their communities.

He has since called on the public to engage in ideas in the pages and discuss them in the community for effective transformation

And in his welcoming speech, UNICAF University Chancellor Mpanzi Sinjela said the theme Community Transformation is timely as it addresses issues affecting the community including illicit activities.

Mr. Sinjela has since called on the public to take the mantle and change the Community through good morals and principles.

And Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary, Joel Kamoko, commended Dr. Banda for the commitment to the cause and for the effort he has put into crafting a work that is as practical as it is profound.

Mr. Kamoko said Dr. Banda’s vision for community transformation is a vision of a society where each individual is empowered to reach their full potential, and where the collective strength of the community is harnessed for the greater good.

He has since reminded the public that the transformation of communities starts with everyone and by revisiting and strengthening the foundations of discipleship, the country can build a future that is brighter, more just, and more compassionate for generations to come.
