ANNUAL INFLATION RATE FOR APRIL REMAINS AT 16.5%

The Annual rate of inflation for April 2025 has remained at 16.5 percent, same as that recorded in March, 2025.

Zambia Statistics Agency (ZAMSTATS) Acting Statistician General, Sheila Mudenda says the development was mainly attributed to price movements of selected non-food items.

“Food inflation decreased to 18.7% in April 2025 from 18.9 % in March 2025,” said Mrs. Mudenda in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.

She said non-food inflation increased to 13.4% from 13.2% in March 2025, and was mainly attributed to increases in prices of Non-food items.
