Economic Expert, Kelvin Chisanga, has urged government to ensure that the National Local Content Policy is aligned with local industrialization efforts to empower indigenous Zambians in key economic sectors.
Mr. Chisanga emphasized that the policy’s primary goal should be to integrate local businesses with national capital formation, allowing for comprehensive economic growth.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Chisanga stressed the importance of encouraging local participation in the economy and building capacity through robust local development policies.
“There must be tax concessions for local players involved in critical sectors that are essential for economic growth,” said Mr. Chisanga.
He also highlighted the need for all stakeholders to actively engage with the local content policy, advocating for the inclusion of innovative ideas that could strengthen Zambia’s economic stability.
