Opposition Zambia Must Prosper President, Kelvin Fube Bwalya, has criticized the growing trend of political leaders making empty promises just to secure votes, describing it as unfair and detrimental to the nation’s progress.
Mr. Bwalya says the trend by politicians to lie to the Zambian people in exchange of votes is unfair.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Mr. Bwalya said that politicians must put the interest of Zambians first by ensuring they deliver on their campaign promises.
“It is disheartening to see politicians lying to Zambians in exchange for votes and this practice undermines the trust that should exist between leaders and the people,” said Mr. Bwalya.
Mr. Bwalya also called on voters to be vigilant and make informed decisions when choosing their leaders.
