Families Are Nations Founder and Executive Director Judith Mwila, has emphasized the critical role of family systems in understanding and addressing behaviours that lead to domestic violence.
And Ms. Mwila expressed concern over the rising cases of women becoming perpetrators of violence in homes.
Speaking in an interview with RCV News in Lusaka, Ms. Mwila stressed the importance of identifying and addressing the root causes of such behaviour to prevent tragedies.
“It is unfortunate that women are increasingly becoming perpetrators of violence in homes and there is a need to delve deeper into the underlying causes driving them to commit such atrocities,” said Ms. Mwila.
She highlighted the need for family members to remain vigilant, offering support and mediating disputes to avoid violence that can escalate into the loss of loved ones.
Ms. Mwila urged families to seek help from trusted individuals or professionals when faced with disputes.
