Economist Trevor Hambayi has criticised the United Party For National Development (UPND) government of prioritising politics over solving the challenges affecting Zambians.
Mr. Hambayi said this in Lusaka today when he featured on Christian voices’ chatback program on the topic “2025 National Budget”.
He wondered why the current government is bent on excuses and referring to failures of past governments, as opposed to providing immediate solutions to the challenges Zambians are going through.
“The Zambian people voted for the (UPND) to solve problems and not excuses,” said Mr. Hambayi.
He has therefore urged the (UPND) leadership to own up and speak to the challenges Zambians are facing such as loadshedding, high fuel prices, inflation and high poverty levels.
