The Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM) has today launched its two-day Sales Annual Conference being held in Lusaka with aim to allow sales practitioners to learn about emerging trends, tools and best practices in the industry.
ZIM President, Mwewa Besa, says the conference which is been held under the theme: Empower, Evolve, Engage; Building Relationships that Drive Growth, is intended to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales men and women and facilitates a platform for continuous professional development.
Speaking during the sales conference in Lusaka today, Mr. Besa said the skills the institute is equipping the participants with are intended to not only help them drive sells in their organizations but also support position Zambia and further attract investment.
He has further urged the participants to resolve to evolve in their way of doing business and engage authentically as they make a positive impact on their clientele and country at large.
And in her welcoming remarks, ZIM Registrar and CEO Lute Mwelo highlighted that the conference will enable the Institute gather feedback from industry regarding the challenges and opportunities they face.
Ms. Mwelo said through the conference, ZIM will continue to be a catalyst for positive change and growth within the Marketing and Sales sectors.
Meanwhile, government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting ZIM stating that it is critical to the growth of commerce and trade.
Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary, Lillian Bwalya, said the institution plays a pivotal in shaping the landscape of sales and marketing in the country.
She said this in a speech read on her behalf by Ministry Director of Human Resources, Nalituba Mwale.
