Over 80 beneficiaries of the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Grants in Nyimba District of Eastern Province, have completed training aimed at empowering their communities.
The training provided them with essential information and knowledge on responsible fund utilization to prevent misappropriation.
Nyimba Town Council Public Relations Officer, Mirriam Busiku, told RCV News in a statement today that during the training, beneficiaries were briefed by a team from Hybrid Poultry Farm on the benefits of raising dual-purpose poultry birds under the Africa Poultry Multiplication Initiative.
“This initiative aims to enhance the livelihoods of small-scale farmers, particularly empowering women in the community”, said Ms. Busiku.
Ms. Busiku further commended the dedication and commitment shown by the beneficiaries who actively participated in the two-day training, demonstrating eagerness to acquire new skills and improve their livelihoods.
And one of the 2024 CDF grant beneficiaries, Agness Sakala, of Chamilala Ward in Nyimba District whose cooperative is into goat rearing, who had applied for Nineteen Thousand Kwacha said that their project will help in alleviating poverty in their families and the community at large.
