The Zambia Police Service has re-apprehended 2 of the 19 suspects that escaped from lawful detention in Mansa.
Police Assistant Public Relations Officer, Godfrey Chilabi, has identified the suspects as Promise Bwalya and Mike Chola, both facing charges of murder.
Mr. Chilabi said that the two were captured during an intelligence-led operation conducted on May 20, 2025, around 22:00 hours in Kasongo Village, of Mansa District.
“The Zambia Police Service wishes to assure members of the public that a manhunt for the remaining suspects is actively underway,” said Mr. Chilabi in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
He also appealed to members of the public with any information on the whereabouts of the 17 remaining fugitives to report to the nearest police station.
