African Union Commission AUC Deputy Chief of Staff Bureau of the Chairperson, Tordeta Ratebaye has thanked the Zambian government for putting up preparations to host the 2022 AU Media Coordination summit.
Ambassador Ratebaye says the summit will see five of the expected Heads of State, who are the Members of the Bureau, discuss the integration of the African continent.
Speaking at a Press Briefing in Lusaka today, Amb. Ratebaye said other presentations will include the production and access to COVID-19 vaccines by the African Continent.
He said issues around the Continental Free Trade Area will also be tabled in the discussions.
Speaking at the same briefing, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Permanent Secretary Isabelle Lemba said Zambians should be proud to have the opportunity to host the prestigious summit.
12 Heads of State are expected to attend the summit and 54 representatives of Ministry of Affairs from 54 member states will be in attendance for various meetings.
