Zambia will host the conference on Public Health in Africa by the Africa Centers for Disease Control, scheduled to take place from 27th to 30th November, 2023 in Lusaka.

The Conference has an anticipated attendance of over 5000 people from all over the world.

Acting Minister of Health Jack Mwiimbu says the 3rd International conference on Public Health in Africa 2023 aims to provide a unique platform for African researchers and policymakers to share scientific findings, collaborate on research and discuss ideas towards a more secure future for Africa.

Mr. Mwiimbu in a ministerial statement  in parliament today that Africa continues to grapples with numerous health challenges and countries have responded to the challenges differently depending on their capacities.

“The meeting is key for sharing ideas on how best to respond to emergencies but the focus should still be to continue building and maintaining sustainable health systems for Africa,” said Mr. Mwiimbu.
