The Commuter Rights Association of Zambia has engaged the Road Transport And Safety Agency RTSA to conduct on spot checks among bus operators to ensure they fully abide to the new reduced bus fares announced from the agency.

Association President Aaron Kamuti has wondered why some bus operators are not following the new reduced bus fares.

He has told Christian voice news that the new bus fares have been necessitated by the reduction in fuel prices adding that the effect should also be passed on to the commuters.

He has accused bus operators of trying to make abnormal profits from commuters by delaying the enforcement of the new reduced bus fares.
