President Edgar Lungu has cautioned the church not to be used by politicians who will start frequenting the church to campaign ahead of the 2021 general elections.

President Lungu said even politicians who do not visit the church will start visiting them because they want votes ahead of the next general elections.

The President said the church should be careful not to allow politicians to use them but instead the church should use politicians to their advantage.

The Head of State advised the church to take advantage of the situation to convert political leaders who do not go to church into Christians as they turn up in churches in search for political support.
