President Hakainde Hichilema has underscored that Zambia and the UPND government do not support gay rights.

President Hichilema says Zambia will live by its Christian beliefs coupled with the constitution that does not allow same sex marriages.

Speaking when he met the clergy in Chingola today, Mr. Hichilema has therefore challenged the church and parents in homes to evangelize on the dangers of same sex marriages.

President Hichilema has also condemned members of the public against finger pointing on who supports gay rights but instead help those practicing homosexuality to live a Christian life.

” Zambia will remain a Christian Nation , that also includes gay rights, we don’t support such “, he said.
