The Lusaka City Council (LCC) has commenced the registration of cooperatives to ease the process of participation in accessing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) through its Loans and Grants facility.
The Council begun the exercise on 29th September, 2023 and has since registered 256 cooperatives.
LCC Public Relations Manager Chola Mwamba has since encouraged women and youths to actively participate in the formation and registration of cooperatives.
“The Local Authority will remain committed to registering cooperatives that are aligned with the needs, aspirations and capacities of the group members”, said Ms. Mwamba in a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today.
