Opposition Zambia Must Prosper party President Kelvin Bwalya Fube says government needs to realign its strategies in the fight against corruption for the exercise to yield positive results.

Mr. Fube says using old systems and methods to fight corruption will not have an impact, on bringing to book those that are said to have misappropriated public resources.

Speaking on Radio Christian Voice’s Chat Back program in Lusaka today, Mr. Fube also added that the UPND Government is not capable of dismantling the country’s debt because the IMF bailout package was acquired for the purposes of consumption.

Mr. Fube said Zambia has the potential to develop without contracting debt seeing the vast natural resources that the country is endowed with.

He added that government should desist from giving tax holidays to companies that should be giving the country foreign exchange to avoid running the country on borrowed resources.
