The Zambia Consumers Association (ZACA) says the continued dry spell is a threat to Food Security in Zambia.
Weathertravel.com has projected that temperatures over Zambia will exceed 26°C daytime with on average 6 hours of sunshine per day in the month of February.
ZACA Executive Secretary Juba Sakala has therefore told RCV News in Lusaka today that the continued dry spell is a threat to Food Security in Zambia.
Mr. Sakala said crop fields in some parts of Southern, Lusaka and Eastern provinces have wilted, giving an indication that the country may not have a good yield this year.
“This has made Farmers, who have invested much in this farming season, sad”, said Mr. Sakala.
He has called on Government to revive the winter Maize project to save the Zambian people.
