Minister of Agriculture Micheal Katambo says the effects of climate change have negatively affected the food and nutrition status of many households in the country.
Mr. Katambo says this is because of the ever increasing temperatures, droughts, erratic rainfall, floods and outbreaks of pests and diseases which have contributed to the decline in crop production and productivity.
Mr. Katambo said the Ministry of Agriculture is actively working with both private and public research institutions to promote agricultural technologies for farmers to be more resilient to the effects of climate change.
