The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) has commended the Zambia Police Service for apprehending the suspects involved in the tragic murder of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) Director General, Guntila Muleya.
(CCZ) General Secretary, Emmanuel Chikoya, says the swift and professional actions of the police in the matter have not only brought the suspects to justice but also provided a sense of relief to the families and friends of Mr. Muleya and the community at large.
In a statement issued to RCV News in Lusaka today, Fr. Chikoya said that the Council stands in solidarity with the Zambia Police Service and has encouraged continued efforts to enhance accountability, transparency and professionalism within the force
“It is such transparent and decisive actions that public confidence can be built”, said Fr. Chikoya.
