Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia and New Zealand, Elias Munshya, has engaged the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) in Perth, in a major stride towards enhancing Zambia’s role in the global mining and energy sectors.
The discussions, spearheaded by CME’s Director of Policy and Advocacy, Adrienne LaBombard, and Manager of Industry Competitiveness Economics, Aaron Walker, focused on unlocking investment opportunities in Zambia.
The meeting highlighted Zambia’s commitment to attracting foreign investment in the mining and energy sectors, identifying key areas for mutual collaboration.
Dr. Munshya emphasized Zambia’s potential as a strategic partner in the global resources sector, presenting the country as an attractive destination for investment.
He highlighted Zambia’s readiness to engage with international stakeholders to boost the nation’s mining and energy industries.
“This visit marks a crucial step in Zambia’s broader economic diplomacy, aiming to strengthen ties with Western Australia’s robust resources industry,” said Dr. Munshya.
He expressed optimisms about building on the discussions and establishing strong partnerships with CME members soon.
